Steve McManaman, a former Real Madrid winger, criticized Diego Simeone’s actions after Atletico Madrid’s 1-1 tie with Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal on Wednesday.
During the match at the Metropolitano, Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, and Simeone’s actions were scrutinized.
However, McManaman was not pleased with Simeone’s actions, calling them horrible.
McManaman told TNT Sports of Simeone, “We could see, sometimes the cameras would not show it with the Spanish directors, but we could see what was going on.”
“His actions with the officials, both number two and number three, were appalling. Absolutely terrible,” he remarked.
