Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has identified the two Gunners players who, in his opinion, made the difference in Sunday’s close Premier League victory over West Ham United.
Even though Leandro Trossard’s late goal in the second half gave Arsenal a 1-0 victory at the London Stadium, Arteta maintained that François Odegaard and David Raya were the true heroes.
The Spaniard thinks that during the match, Odegaard and Raya produced fantastic moments that enabled Arsenal to defeat the Hammers.
In his post-match press conference, Arteta said, “I think we got rewarded because Martin made an incredible action to win us the game, apart from David’s save in the 70th minute.
“You need people to create those magical moments if you want to have the opportunity to win major trophies, and David, like Martin Odegaard, created a moment to win us the game.”
