Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, a top engineering and construction company, has won the Best Construction and Infrastructure Company of the Year (West Africa) award for the second year in a row.
Julius Berger outperformed rivals including Micheleti Construction Ghana Limited and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation to win the esteemed award, which was organized by the West Africa Innovation Awards.
According to a statement from Canmil Chineme, Chairman of the Awards Organizing Committee, the prize honors a notable brand that is a cornerstone in one of the most important businesses in the subregion.
According to him, these awards encourage superior customer involvement and spur innovation in line with international best practices.
Chineme added that Julius Berger Nigeria PLC was chosen as the 2026 winner by the Governing Board of the West Africa Innovation Awards after lengthy discussions and thorough consideration by a team of judges.
The business received praise for its outstanding contributions to professionalism, innovation, and superior customer service.
Dr. Abdulaziz Isa Kaita, Director of Administration at Julius Berger, responded to the recognition by describing it as a confirmation of the company’s more than 50 years of unwavering dedication to excellence, innovation, quality, safety, and nation-building throughout Nigeria and the larger West African region.
He thanked the organizers for the honor.
Dr. Kaita stated in his acceptance speech that the honor is more than just a business accomplishment. “Tonight, we celebrate vision, resiliency, and the transformative power of infrastructure in shaping economies, connecting communities, and improving lives—more than concrete, steel, and asphalt.”
He emphasized that Julius Berger views infrastructure development as a long-term legacy as well as a business. “Our journey has always been guided by one principle: building excellence and connecting futures,” he continued, “from iconic bridges and highways to airports, seaports, industrial facilities, hospitals, and other critical national projects.”
The award was given by Dr. Kaita to the company’s employees, including engineers, technicians, architects, operators, artisans, administrators, and support personnel, whose commitment keeps Julius Berger’s stellar reputation intact.
Sovereign Trust Insurance PLC, Vitafoam, CRC Credit Bureau Limited, and West African Human Resource Outsourcing Company were among the organizations honored in the 15th edition of the awards ceremony. It was a glamorous and joyous evening.
