Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, expressed sorrow over the untimely death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo.
The DAILY POST had previously stated that Alex, who was taken to the hospital on Monday, passed away following a protracted fight with liver cancer.
The actor spent hours on life support before passing away on Tuesday afternoon.
“Hmmmmm,” she wrote on her Instagram account in response to the heartbreaking news. Alex, may you rest in peace.
“I suppose you knew best, but I really tried to get in touch to see you again. Alex, may you rest in peace with your kind soul. I will always remember and treasure the wonderful times we had together, Ore mi, as you affectionately called me. “Alex, rest in peace,” she uttered.
