Orders from Justice Omotosho Interpol and security services will detain Mamman, the guilty former minister.

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja has ordered the arrest of former Minister of Power Saleh Mamman, who was sentenced to 75 years in prison.

Mamman was convicted on Wednesday Judge Omotosho on all 12 counts of money laundering and conspiracy concerning funds intended for the Zungeru and Mambilla hydroelectric power projects that the EFCC had brought against him.
Additionally, he mandated that the sentences be spoken one after the other.

Justice Omotosho decided that the sentence start on the day of the convict’s arrest even though they were not in court.

He gave the order for all security services, including Interpol, to apprehend the prisoner wherever they come across him.

Justice Omotosho went on to say that the federal government will receive all money recovered from him as well as the properties.

Additionally, the offender was mandated to pay the remaining N22 billion intended for the hydroelectric power project in Mabilla and Zungeru.
