2027: Bolaji Abdullahi: Peter Obi and Kwankwaso’s defection damages the opposition

Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), revealed that the opposition is harmed by Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso’s defection to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Abdullahi stated that if the opposition unites against President Bola Tinubu in 2027, it will have a better chance.

In an interview on AIT’s Political Platform, the ADC spokesperson stated his stance.

“You have a better chance if you have a unified opposition working to challenge the incumbent,” he stated.

However, the incumbent gains an advantage when the opposition is split and there are three or four candidates.

Not only did Peter Obi and Kwankwaso’s departure from the ADC hurt the organisation, but it also hurt the general public, who will be impacted in the same way as we are.

“I’m not saying it’s not possible, but we would have had a better chance if we could have held together.”

“If Atiku Abubakar is conversing with any other candidate, it is not ADC speaking; rather, it is one candidate negotiating with another.”
