Peter Obi, a presidential candidate, has expressed sadness over Nollywood star Alexx Ekubo’s demise.
According to the DAILY POST, kidney cancer problems led to Alexx Ekubo’s death on Tuesday afternoon.
The actor who was adored by everyone has continued to receive tributes and eulogies after his passing.
Obi responded to this tragic news on Friday by writing on his X Twitter, “I received with sadness the heartbreaking news of the passing of young and talented Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, whose death has left the Nigerian entertainment industry and millions of admirers across the country mourning.”
I offer my sincere sympathies to his family, friends, Nollywood colleagues, and the innumerable fans whose lives he touched via his talent on behalf of me and everyone who appreciates the enormous contributions our young creatives make to nation-building.
We are reminded of life’s frailty and the value of leading a compassionate, caring, and purposeful life at times like this.
“The memories he made and the happiness he offered to many via his concerts will endure even though his journey was cut short.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and may God Almighty grant his family the strength and comfort to bear this painful loss,” he said.
