Lookman’s goal from Antoine Griezmann’s assist did not come until the twenty-first minute, despite Atlético being ahead from the first minute.
The Nigerian international scored his fourth league goal of the year.
Cléo Lenglet took over for the 28-year-old 27 minutes from time.
Lookman left Atalanta to join Diego Simeone’s team in January.
Despite the victory, Atlético is still in fourth place in the standings.
