Chibuike Nwaiwu, a former forward for Enyimba of Aba, has assisted his team, Wolfsberger AC, in securing victory in this season’s Austrian Cup.
In a gripping finale at the 28 Black Arena, Wolfsberger AC secured a narrow 1-0 win against Hartberg.

In the 77th minute, Angelo Gattermayer demonstrated his exceptional heading ability by scoring with a forceful header, which clinched the win for his team. Chibuike Nwaiwu was instrumental in the match, providing active midfield support throughout the entire game.

Nwaiwu’s hard work and dedication on the field are exemplified by this victory, which represents his first major European honour.

Nwaiwu established himself in the Nigerian Premier Football League before his stint with Wolfsberger AC, transferring to Wolfsberger from Enyimba, a highly successful Nigerian club with nine league championships to its name. He was a key player on the Enyimba team that won the NPFL championship two years back.
This season, Chibuike Nwaiwu has netted four goals and delivered one assist across 25 matches in all competitions.

In the future, Wolfsberger AC will represent Austria in the forthcoming UEFA Europa League, offering Nwaiwu and his teammates an exciting chance to compete on a continental level.
