On Tuesday, activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, asked Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde when the kidnapped students and instructors will be freed.
VDM led a sizable group of demonstrators, mostly young people, to the Government House to call for immediate action to free the kidnapped students and instructors.
“We are here to stop kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism in Nigeria,” he declared.Unfortunately, the problem that led us here did not originate in Oyo State. That this one is uniting us makes me pleased.
“The governor, we are come to inquire about the children’s return date. How are you going to get the kids back?
“We are here to also pledge that we are willing to volunteer to go into the bushes with the police, army, and any other security services that are prepared to go into the bush if you lack men.
“As of right now, we don’t even know the children’s condition or whether they are still alive.”
In response, the governor promised that the victims would soon be saved.
