Edwin van der Sar, a former goalkeeper for Manchester United, has critiqued Arsenal’s David Raya and mentioned Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen as one of his favorite goalkeepers in the Premier League. He also expressed admiration for Alisson Becker from Liverpool and Ederson from Manchester City. When asked about his favorite current Premier League goalkeepers, Van der Sar told Optus Sport: “I like both Alisson and Ederson.
But I think they are a little too much injured at the moment. They are not consistent.
“I like Bart Verbruggen. He is a young Dutch goalkeeper who is doing really well.”
He added, “I expect a little bit more for Raya at Arsenal.
“I think he has to step up his game a little bit more.
“He has all the attributes and the qualities but you have to be more decisive.”
Meanwhile, Verbruggen has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer transfer window.
