A specialist requests that FG create a bank for the creative and artistic industries.

To provide financial lifelines and turn Nigeria’s youth-driven creative sector into a global powerhouse, Aminat Olajide, a well-known female creative artist, has challenged the Federal Government to create a specialized bank for creatives, akin to those that support industry and agriculture. At the opening of her new art hub in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Olajide, the CEO of Artitude 2.0, made the call.Such a bank, according to Aminat, would enable young creatives—including singers, writers, designers, and artists—to expand their enterprises, generate employment, and strengthen the national economy. Aminat praised the Ogun State Government for creating an atmosphere that supports the growth of businesses, but she also pointed out that additional assistance is required to reduce the unemployment rate and give young people and entrepreneurs greater authority.
