Allen Sowore, the Special Adviser on Communications and Strategy to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has denied allegations that the Governor’s convoy was involved in a fatal accident that killed a young man named Good Emiju in Oka-Akoko. While Sowore confirmed the victim was struck by a vehicle on the same day the Governor visited the area for a thank-you tour, he clarified that the vehicle responsible was a police van attached to the O.C. Scorpion unit, which was not part of the official gubernatorial motorcade. The aide criticized the Peoples Democratic Party for claiming the government was hiding the incident, asserting that the opposition should verify facts before releasing inflammatory statements. He further explained that the police officers involved had immediately taken the victim to the hospital and are currently in discussions with the bereaved family, while offering his condolences for the tragic loss.
