The Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State are experiencing an electricity outage, according to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company.
This was revealed by AEDC in a notice on Wednesday.
According to the disco, a technical issue with the transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) 132kV Apo-Karu line 1 is the cause of the outage.
As a result, locations in Abuja and Nasarawa, such as Karu, Nyanya, Jikwoyi, Kurudu, Orozo, Karshi, Mararaba, Ado, New Nyanya, New Karu Uke, Masaka, Auta Balaifi, Keffi, Nasarawa Toto, Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon, and surrounding areas, have seen disruptions in bulk energy delivery.
But the disco promised the return of electricity.
“Today, June 10, 2026, at around 3:00 pm, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) technical staff is working to restore electricity supplies.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding and regret any inconvenience this may cause,” AEDC said.
