According to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), 1,533,000,000 (billion) PMS were consumed by Nigerians in April.
A spreadsheet released bytheregulator onTuesday said the figure showed an average of 51.1 million litres of the productwas consumed daily.
A total of 1,332,000,000 (billion) litres of PMS were supplied to the market during the month, with independent marketers importing 111,000,000 (million) litres and Dangote Refinery supplying 1,221,000,000 (billion) litres.
According to the report, this amounted to an average of 40.7 million litres per day for Dangote and 3.7 million litres per day for importers.
The Dangote Refinery produced 53.6 million litres of PMS per day, but it exported 17.1 million litres and supplied 40.7 million litres to domestic markets.
