Keystone gives a model school an ICT centre.

A fully functional ICT centre has been donated by Keystone Bank Limited to Government Model School in Makurdi, Benue State.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Abubakar Usman Bello, the bank’s Executive Director, North and Public Sector, stated that the donation of the recently renovated ICT centre, which has modern digital infrastructure with laptops, workstations, ergonomic seating, air conditioning, a dependable inverter power system, and a well-furnished ICT hall, is a result of the bank’s dedication to enhancing access to digital tools and supporting educational development, particularly in underprivileged communities.
One of the best pillars of any prosperous society is still education. It prepares the next generation of leaders, moulds minds, and opens doors. At Keystone Bank, we understand that funding education is not only a duty but also a calculated step towards the advancement of the country.

Bello continued, “For this reason, we continue to support initiatives that promote learning, innovation, and access to high-quality educational resources.”
Speaking as well, its Head of North, Bala Umar, stated that the programme is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which emphasises high-quality education.
The goals of this project are to improve digital literacy, close infrastructure gaps, and get students ready for a technologically advanced economy. We believe access to ICT facilities is critical to modern education and future workforce readiness,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the governor, Secretary to the State Government Barr. Deborah Abeeh praised Keystone Bank for the initiative, pointing out that it shows a strong commitment to the state’s development of human capital.
She expressed Governor Alia’s gratitude, praising the bank and its management for their careful intervention and ongoing support of the education sector.
