The Adamawa State Police Command has dismissed a viral social media report claiming that the state Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Rev. Joel Manzo, was beheaded by Fulani terrorists, labeling the post as entirely false and dangerously inciting. The police statement, signed by PRO SP Suleiman Nguroje, was released amid fresh tensions following US President Donald Trump’s threat of military action over alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria. The Command asserted that the report, written by Facebook user Lionman Lioni, was a deliberate attempt to cause panic and religious disaffection, confirming that no such incident occurred in the state. Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Moris urged the public to disregard the false report and avoid spreading unverified information. The Police Command has launched an investigation to track and prosecute those responsible for the false publication, vowing not to tolerate attempts to incite violence via social media misuse.
