Nigerians are suffering, according to Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, who has urged President Bola Tinubu to seek assistance.
Abdullahi bemoaned the fact that the people are still suffering while government officials enjoy luxury and longer convoys.
When answering questions on Channels Television’s Breakfast Show on Wednesday, he made this statement.
According to the ADC’s spokesperson, the ruling states that the current government’s misguided interventions have failed regardless of their intentions.
“You tell the people, if we do this, we will suffer for this period but this is the result we will get,” he added, clarifying that if you know that people would suffer as a result of the policies you have adopted and you are unable to alleviate it. Furthermore, even the God who commanded us to worship promised us a recompense.
“Where is the prize after two years of suffering? Or what does the reward promise? After all of this pain, what do we hope to gain?
“They’ve been getting subsidies, and the money we’ve been getting from them is going somewhere.” Where’s that money going, now? They claimed to have been distributing it to states and used it for infrastructure projects.
How does it impact the lives of the average individual who must purchase gasoline at a cost of N1000? I should be able to get cheaper medications at a hospital if I pay N1000 for petrol. That is not visible to you. others are suffering because of this, but government leaders are receiving longer convoys and living in luxury while claiming that others should continue to suffer.
“Why are we in pain is the question we must ask ourselves. How long will we have to endure this suffering? This is not something we should attempt to intellectualize.
“The people in Wuse Market, Gbaygi, and Ojoba are the best experts to determine whether or not these governments’ economic policies have been successful.
“And the conclusion is that, despite this government’s best efforts, the introduction of those inconsistent interventions has not been successful. Will they be humble enough to concede and consider what they could do differently? This nation is full of intelligent people who are willing to ask for assistance.
