Moses Aduku, the head coach of the Falconets, has stated that his team will give it their best in the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Malawi.
In the opening leg, Nigeria defeated the Young Scorchers 2-0.
When the two teams play in the rematch on Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi will try to overcome the deficit.
To defeat the Falconets, Maggie Chombo’s team needs to score three goals without giving up any.
Aduku, who oversaw his team’s victories over Senegal and Rwanda on the road earlier in the qualifiers, vowed that they will play with an offensive strategy.
Instead of playing defensively, we’ll take the game to them to see if we can score, and I’m confident that my girls can.
Aduku stated prior to the game, “We know the opponent will not sit back, they will come out to play.”
The Falconets have advanced to every FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
