Manchester City have trimmed the distance between them and Arsenal to two points, after a thrilling 5-4 win at Fulham on Tuesday night. The former Premier League winners entered the match fresh off yet another close 3-2 triumph over Leeds United. That triumph decreased the Gunners’ advantage, after they could only draw 1-1 with Chelsea on Sunday. Erling Haaland, Tijjani Reijnders, and Phil Foden all scored goals as City quickly took a three-goal lead over Fulham. But Emile Smith Rowe pulled one back for the hosts before the break. After Foden increased City’s lead, Fulham threatened to take a draw thanks to goals from Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze. On Wednesday night, Arsenal will face Brentford in an attempt to regain their five-point lead.
