Following the Red Devils’ 2-1 Premier League loss to Leeds United on Monday, Manchester United icon Roy Keane has taken aim at midfielders Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte.
Keane claimed that the midfield pair lacked enthusiasm and quality, particularly in the drab first half at Old Trafford.
Noah Okafor’s brace helped Leeds defeat the Red Devils and win all three points against Michael Carrick’s team.
However, Casemiro and Ugarte’s negligible impact on the game did not impress Keane.
They weren’t running. United. Additionally, the final section was too little, too late. For them, it’s a significant setback,” Keane told The Mirror. The midfield? Not at all. Particularly in the first half, those two (Casemiro and Ugarte) lacked vitality and quality.
“Leeds got off to a great start, and the outcome was outstanding.”
