One Divine Nnalue has been taken into custody by the Anambra State Police Command for stealing his employer’s vehicle at Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing Area 33, near the Onitsha region of the state.
After an intelligence-driven investigation, police officers from 33 Police Station apprehended the suspect on June 13 in Ugbeji-Okpanam, which is extremely close to Asaba in Delta State.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, said in a news release on Monday that the police had followed the suspect to the place where he was taken into custody.
Following an intelligence-driven investigation, police officers assigned to the 33 Police Station detained Divine Nnalue in Ugbeji-Okpanam, which is extremely close to Asaba in Delta State, in the late evening of June 13, 2025.
The suspect, a domestic worker, is accused of stealing his employer’s black Toyota Camry, registered under the license plate ENU 289 JF, from Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing in 33.
The suspect admitted to selling the vehicle to an unnamed individual during the interview. In light of the suspect’s disclosures, the officers are gathering information in order to potentially retrieve the car and apprehend the other individuals involved in the crime,” the statement said.
Ikenga said that this arrest demonstrated the police command’s capacity to find and apprehend criminals and those who betray confidence.He continued, “It also shows the Command’s dedication to preserving the law and safeguarding citizens’ property.”
