Captain Roland Iyayi, the president of Topbrass Aviation Limited, denounced the $300 helicopter landing fee yesterday, further escalating the debate around the fee on helicopters that transport oil and gas businesses.

Before the new fee was implemented, helicopter companies were paying all of their taxes in compliance with industry regulations, according to Captain Iyayi, a Trustee of Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON). He insisted that the $300 landing fee is a burden on the operators and could jeopardize the industry.
