Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, has called President Bola Tinubu’s administration “clueless and insensitive” in response to recent comments made by former Transportation Minister Chibuike Amaechi.
Eze claimed that the former minister’s admission of hunger at a symposium “is a mirror of the hunger, suffering, and hopelessness facing millions of Nigerians under Tinubu’s leadership” in a press release released on Wednesday to mark Amaechi’s 60th birthday.
As things stand in Nigeria right now, under President Tinubu’s callous and incompetent administration, it is abhorrent for any Nigerian to claim to be hungry. To hear that Nigerians are hungry is actually now a crime punishable by law and a national taboo for Tinubu’s guys, Eze said.

According to him, the statement highlights the stark truth that only individuals in positions of authority or control over public finances can afford three meals a day, while the majority of people barely make ends meet.
Without holding back, Amaechi made the comment to alert the world and Tinubu’s callous government to the extreme poverty and hunger that drive the majority of Nigerians to commit suicide because they are unsure of where they would get their next meal.
Eze warned that sycophantic behavior, particularly by officials like Wike and his associates, only serves to increase popular animosity and accused government officials of living lavishly while millions of people suffer.
“The statement of the former Transportation Minister literally did not mean he can’t feed himself or his family, contrary to the reasoning of Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, a man who was shaped, tutored, and brought to political prominence by Amaechi.”
“Amaechi’s statement served as a reminder that you are either a member of the government or one of those involved in embezzlement of the nation’s funds. or else you’ll have hunger pangs.
Eze claimed that the Tinubu administration had caused more hardship than the Nigeria-Biafra conflict.
“Due to Tinubu’s misguided policies, Nigerians were not subjected to the level of wickedness and poverty that currently pervade the country, even during the Nigeria/Biafra War.”

He noted that Amaechi spent over two decades in public service without allegations of looting and has every moral right to voice concerns on behalf of the people.
“Amaechi is Nigerians, and Nigerians are Amaechi,” Eze declared.
He also asked the president to adopt humanitarian policies and warned against “weaponizing hunger.”
Making noise and constructing flyovers in Abuja won’t satisfy Nigerians’ hunger and thirst. Can you go up and down from a flyover if you’re hungry?
Eze said there is hope for Nigeria in the run-up to the 2027 elections and urged people to have faith and pray. He called on authorities like Wike to cease disparaging dissenting views and encouraged Tinubu’s administration to “show sympathy.”
He went on to say, “Sycophancy is another significant issue in the nation that needs to be addressed.”
