Woli Arole, a Nigerian comedian and actor, has criticized the practice of “woke” women choosing surrogacy even when they are infertile.
According to Naija News, the topic of surrogacy gained attention online after well-known media figure Ife revealed in a video posted on her Instagram page that she is using surrogacy to conceive her children.
Ife explained that although she doesn’t have any health issues, she doesn’t want to experience the stress of pregnancy.
In the middle of the internet uproar, Wori Alore stressed that God had predetermined that a woman’s pregnancy was a blessing in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
However, surrogacy, IVF, and numerous other methods of childbearing are available to women with specific medical issues.
With assertions that they don’t want to change their bodies, the comedian advised people not to allow “wokeness” stop them.
“Listen carefully,” he wrote. A woman’s ability to bear her child in her womb is a blessing. God wants things that way. Keep your wokeness in check. She can use choices like surrogacy, IVF, and anything else unless she has a medical condition.
“My body and my choice are not yours to say.” I’m not in the mood to become pregnant. Surrogacy is what I want. No! God’s temple is your body.
“Don’t allow being woke get in the way of you. The temple of God is your body. The decision to become a surrogate is not made lightly! God gave you a womb for a reason.
