For the local government elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has set the party’s chairmanship nomination forms at ₦20 million.
The sale of the nomination forms will take place between Thursday, May 22, and Wednesday, May 28, according to a statement signed by Sulaiman Argungu, the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, on Tuesday, according to Naija News.
According to Arugungu’s statement, the completed nomination forms must be submitted by May 29.
Members of the APC who wish to run for councillorship must pay ₦2.5 million for the nomination form.
While the nomination form for chairmanship was fixed for ₦15 million, the expression of interest form was fixed for ₦5 million, making the total ₦20 million.
Similarly, the councillorship aspirants will pay ₦2 million for the nomination form and ₦500,000 for the expression of interest form, totalling ₦2.5 million.
“Female aspirants and persons with disabilities are to purchase the expression of interest form, while the nomination form is free.
“Youths between the ages of 25 and 40 are eligible to purchase the interest form at a 50% reduction in comparison to the nomination form.
It further stated that “the nomination and expression of interest forms will be available for purchase at the Directorate of Organization, 2nd floor, APC National Headquarters.”
The party asked all interested aspirants to comply with all directions for simplicity of process.
