Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, the director general of the Asue/Ogie Campaign Council, has responded to the Edo State Government’s decision to lock off his property, the Eterno Hotel.

Officials from the Edo State Development and Building Control Agency closed it.
On the property was an official notification with the code “29.425 ESDBCA.”
State laws pertaining to building control, development, and urban planning must be enforced by the ESDBCA.
Speaking to reporters on the development, he stated, “I was at home when my manager called to inform me that officials were sealing off the hotel.
“I asked to speak with the government agents, but they refused to take my calls. They only stated that they were following government orders when I hurried down to the hotel and asked them what legislation I had broken.
