President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commissioning of the 6.7km Port Harcourt Road, which was rebuilt by the top engineering construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, turned the commercial metropolis of Aba into a massive carnival scene. DJs and masquerades put on exhibitions amid raucous singing and dancing. Youth organizations and women were not excluded; they all fought for available spots to express their happiness at the redemption that the project commissioningThe state government, through Julius Berge, delivered the finished road project, which President Tinubu, represented by Works Minister Engineer Dave Umahi, called a miracle. The President praised Abia State Governor Alex Ottif for his dedication to infrastructure rehabilitation throughout the state and the caliber of the job he completed. Tinubu claimed that the government and contractors were responsible for the “miracle of transformation” that was being seen throughout the state, not just in Aba, on the rebuilt road. The road is more than just a stretch of asphalt and concrete, according to Dr. Abdulaziz Kaita, Director, Administration of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, who made the statement earlier. It connects Aba to the larger economy of the South-East and the Niger Delta, markets to manufacturers, and neighborhoods to opportunities.
