At the current 4th African Youth Games (AYG), Team Nigeria has been performing exceptionally well in a variety of sports, solidifying the country’s increasing dominance among young athletes.
Nigeria defeated Egypt 2-0 with decisive set scores of 21–15, 21–17 to win the gold medal in beach volleyball.
Nigeria’s badminton team also made an impression, winning three bronze, two silver, and one gold medal in mixed doubles.
At the end of the golf events, Josephine Clement Benjamin finished with a bronze medal for Team Nigeria, bringing another podium finish to Nigeria’s increasing medal total.
