Roberto Mancini, a former coach of Italy and Manchester City, has agreed to work as a coach for Al Sadd. Mancini will travel to Doha on Wednesday to take over as Al Sadd’s new head coach, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 60-year-old, who temporarily managed the Saudi Arabian national team from August 2023 to October 2024, is returning to the Middle East. His agreement with Al Sadd is scheduled to expire in May 2026. On November 24, Mancini will make his AFC Champions League debut on the Al Sadd bench when traveling to Al-Wahda. Felix Sanchez was fired on October 15, and Al Sadd is presently sixth in the Qatar Stars League under interim manager Sergio Alegre.
