Balmoral’s Chaos in the Ring 4 is sanctioned by NBF

The Chaos in the Ring 4 boxing card, which is being promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions and Amir Khan Promotions, has been approved by the Nigeria Boxing Federation. It will take place today at the Balmoral Hall Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The nine-bout card, which combines professional boxing with a celebrity battle between sketch creator Carter Efe and musician Habeeb “Portable” Badmus, has garnered a lot of attention in the lead-up, with intense face-offs between the main event boxers and the celebrity duo.

The WBO cruiserweight Peace Fight between Ezra Arenyeka (15-2, 12 KOs) and Godday Appah (14-2, 13 KOs) is the main event on the professional card. It is described as a symbolic fight between the Itsekiri and Ijaw populations of the Niger Delta, with the winner being dubbed a Peace Ambassador for the area.

A super-middleweight match between Ghana’s Elvis Ahorgah and Newcastle’s Joe Laws, an international welterweight match between British southpaw Michael McKinson and Algerian prospect Mohammad Sahnoun, a WBO super-lightweight match between Basit Adebayo and Loren Japhet, Samuel Antwi and Paul Kamanga, national middleweight champion Rasheed Adeyemo and Nicolaus Mdoe, and a welterweight match between Seun Wahab and Saidi Mkola are among the other fights scheduled.

Omonlei Imadu, the vice president of the NBF, complimented the National Sports Commission for its support of continuous improvements in the sport and praised the promoters for their investment in professional boxing in Nigeria.

DAZN will broadcast the event live.
