A kilogram of chicken costs between N4500 and N4800 at Tarauni Market, according to Ali Musa, owner of Mumtaz ice goods. According to Musa, a kilogram of chicken sold for N4700 in August, and this time around, traders are reporting outstanding patronage. A medium-sized turkey costs N25,000, while a larger one costs between N35,000 and N40,000, according to Jamilu Lawan Yakubu, a live bird vendor.
