Benue: The Catholic Church honors the victims of the Yelwata attack with a prayer walk

On Thursday, Catholics in Benue State went on a solemn prayer walk, pleading for God to intervene and bring about enduring peace in the area.

Additionally, they offered prayers for the souls of those slain in the state’s current wave of violence, particularly the recent attack on Yelwata in Guma LGA, which claimed many lives.

Large crowds from several parishes participated in the nonviolent March, which is still going on, as clergy, religious organizations, and laypeople marched through the streets while holding signs and singing hymns.

Participants called for togetherness, healing, and a restoration to justice and peace in the state, expressing profound worry over the escalating instability.
