Nigeria had tactical discipline in both regaining possession and controlling the game with the ball, established the pace early, and applied intense pressure.In addition to limiting Tunisia’s attacking threat, their domination produced multiple obvious scoring opportunities. Just before halfway, Ademola Lookman’s accurate cross from the left gave Victor Osimhen the opportunity to rise above the defense and power a header beyond the Tunisian goalkeeper, rewarding that supremacy. The Carthage Eagles had been plagued by Osimhen’s aerial presence throughout the half, with two of his earlier headers just missing the mark.
