Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, attributed their 3-0 loss to Chelsea in the 2025 Club World Cup final on Sunday to fatigue.
The champions of Ligue 1 were unable to claim their fifth trophy of the season after suffering a defeat against the Blues.
However, when he spoke to PSG’s official website, Al-Khelaifi emphasized his pride in the players.
Congrats to Chelsea. “Their victory was well-deserved,” he stated.
“Winning this Club World Cup was our goal, but it’s tough.
“The players put in their utmost effort. They were weary. Our season was fantastic, the best the club has ever seen.
“We take pride in the players and the staff. This loss benefits us for the upcoming season. It is necessary for us to be humble. Our team is the youngest in the competition
