Hector Ekakita, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Rivers State’s Ahoada East Local Government Area, has identified the individuals he believes were responsible for the recent assault on Goodluck Iheamnacho, the local government administration.
According to the DAILY POST, Iheamnacho allegedly quit his job after a resignation letter that appeared on social media and was allegedly signed by him.
On Sunday, however, Olugbenga Adepoju, the state’s commissioner of police, called the chief of staff and CSO to the administrator to discuss the matter.
The police, while condemning the alleged assault captured in a viral video, described it as the handiwork of hoodlums allegedly led by officials working under the LG administrator, pointing fingers at the CSO and the Chief of Staff.
Speaking with Channels TV on Monday, Hector Ekakita refuted the accusation, stating that he would never “venture into carrying hoodlums to go and attack the man that I’m working with.”
He emphasized that he “was never found in the video” and denied being one of the people who reportedly attacked the administrator.
“The only thing that happened, if you watch the film, is that I stormed into my office when I heard a voice, but I was told to close the door since it was between the only administrator and his political appointees that he had failed to pay in May.He claimed, “I didn’t make any videos or bring any thugs to attack him.”
