Capt. Banjana Bailor has been named the new Director of Flight Operations at Ibom Air.
Capt. Bailor brings more than 20,000 flying hours and more than 40 years of aviation experience to his new position, according to a statement from Ibom Air.
He comes to Ibom Air with a notable background in operational management, flight crew training, and line flying. His knowledge of safety management systems, pilot leadership, and airline operations makes him an invaluable addition in the airline’s ongoing quest for operational excellence.
Before being appointed, Capt. Bailor held top operational positions where he was instrumental in creating flight crew standards, improving safety culture, and putting policies in place that were in line with international best practices.

The BAC 1-11 turbojet, DC-9, Saab SF-340 turboprop, CL-65 (CRJ-200 to CRJ-900), and Boeing 737 NG are just a few of the aircraft on which Capt. Bailor has vast operational expertise and an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). In addition, he holds an FAA license as an airplane and powerplant mechanic.
He received an Associate degree in Applied Sciences with a major in Aircraft Maintenance Technology from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas, USA, and from Nigerian Civil Aviation Technical College (NCAT) in Zaria.
