According to the DAILY POST, Nigeria’s D’Tigress will find out their group opponents for the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup on Tuesday of next week.
The competition’s draw will take place in Berlin, Germany.
Based on their FIBA Women’s World Ranking, the 16 eligible teams will be split into four groups.
D’Tigress, China, Belgium, and Spain are seeded in Pot 2.
On Thursday, Rena Wakama’s team began a training tour in the United States of America as part of their tournament preparations.
During the training tour, the African champions will play friendlies against the Los Angeles Sparks, Minnesota Lynx, Indiana Fever, and WNBA teams.
The dates of the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup are September 4–13.
