As they rescued abducted victims, Nigerian Army troops seized weapons, explosives, and massive drug shipments, dealing a serious blow to terrorists and criminal networks in multiple states. Troops engaged ISWAP and JAS fighters in Borno in the Northeast, seizing bombs, AK-47 rifles, ammunition, rocket-propelled grenades, and other military supplies. Additionally, operations intercepted bomb-making materials, stopped attacks on communities, and interfered with terrorist logistics.
Troops stopped attacks in Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi, and Kaduna states, arrested a number of suspects, and confiscated cars, guns, motorcycles, and other illegal goods in the North West and North Central. These operations resulted in the rescue of several abducted victims.
During raids in the South South, troops dismantled illegal oil bunkering sites, arrested cultists, and retrieved firearms and drug paraphernalia in the states of Rivers and Cross River. Kidnapped passengers were also rescued as a result of joint operations with the Cameroonian Army along the Bakassi waterways.
