EPL: Frederick takes great pleasure in winning Brentford’s Young Player of the Year award

Nigerian defender, Benjamin Frederick has expressed his delight after winning Brentford’s young Player of the Season award.

Frederick linked up with the Bees on loan from Simoibein Football Academy in August 2023.

The deal was made permanent in April 2024 with the centre-back signing a four-year contract.

This season, Brentford named the 19-year-old on the bench four times.

During the pre-season, Frederick also played three times for the club.

The ex-Flying Eagles player expressed gratitude to his teammates for their backing.

Fredrick expressed to the club’s official website, “It makes me very happy that my team-mates recognise me.”

“As someone from Nigeria, I’ve had to adjust to a different environment and playing style, but I’m pleased that my efforts are yielding results.”
