EPL: “It’ll come down to goal differential”—Carragher names the club that will finally win the championship

According to former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, Manchester City will win the Premier League this season based on goal differential.

He praised Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for defeating Fulham 3-0, saying that it “certainly” puts more pressure on Manchester City when they play Everton on Monday night in Merseyside.

“Arsenal were outstanding,” he stated on Sky Sports. This is, in my opinion, their best performance in a while—possibly since they defeated Tottenham in the north London derby.

Fulham gave them some help, but they looked energetic, and it was important for them to improve their goal differential.

We’ll see how things work out, but it has undoubtedly put more pressure on Manchester City, who have a difficult game against Everton ahead of them.

“I think Manchester City will win that game, but it might ultimately come down to goal differential, so winning might not be enough.”

Arsenal’s final two Premier League games are against Burnley and Crystal Palace, who have already been demoted, after their encounter with West Ham.

Manchester City, on the other hand, will face Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa in their quest for their eighth Premier League championship since 2018.
