Rayan Cherki, an aggressive midfielder for Manchester City, surpassed Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, in double-plus assists this season on Sunday.
Following his outstanding performance for Manchester City against Chelsea, the 22-year-old accomplished this achievement.
Cherki has assisted two goals or more in four different games this season, more than any other Premier League player in all competitions, according to OptaJoe.
Fernandes, who has helped the Red Devils score two goals in three different games, is one behind the France international.
Cherki is also the first player since former West Ham star Dimitri Payet in 2015–16 to record ten or more assists in his first Premier League season.
Cherki joined Man City from Lyon last year, and thus far, he has performed admirably for Pep Guardiola’s team.
