Joe Keshi, a former Nigerian diplomat and international political analyst, strongly criticized the Federal Government’s management of the Christian persecution discussion, stating it suffers from a lack of empathy and poor communication. Keshi made this comment on Wednesday during an interview broadcast on Arise Television, which was monitored by DAILY POST. He argued that the government’s reaction, especially that of some of its spokespersons, has deepened public mistrust and damaged Nigeria’s reputation on the international stage. Keshi emphasized that “In a crisis period like this, the first constituency the president should speak to is the Nigerian people.” He concluded by noting that “The president has not spoken to us, and his spokespersons just come out and say whatever they like.”
