To enhance passenger and cargo facilitation at airports throughout the nation, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have established a new partnership and collaboration.
Nigeria is working to strengthen its financial integrity as part of its efforts to be removed off the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) grey list.
FATF is the international organization that was founded in 1995 to spearhead global efforts to stop the financing of terrorism, money laundering, and proliferation.Nigeria was added to the FATF Grey List on February 24, 2023, as a result of heightened capital inflows and inadequacies in the fight against terrorism, money laundering, and arms financing.But yesterday, FAAN Managing Director Olubunmi Kuku and other authority management personnel welcomed Adewale Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), who was on a tour of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA).
