In the North Bank neighborhood of Makurdi metropolis in Benue State, a non-governmental organization called the Tanimu Foundation has given millions of naira and free vocational training to several young people. In addition to learning new skills, at least 24 additional young people were given financial aid and scholarships to further their studies at different postsecondary schools around the nation, according to our correspondent.Associate Professor Sabo Tanimu, the founder of the Tanimu Foundation and a US-based physician, has continuously improved people’s lives over the years through the organization’s vocational center. Speaking at this year’s event, Khalid Omeje, the Foundation’s Country Director, urged the government at all levels and private persons with the means to support the good work on behalf of the founder.
