Despite widespread rumors linking the Super Eagles striker to a summer departure, Galatasaray’s vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, has disclosed that the team has not yet held any formal discussions over Victor Osimhen’s future. He insists that no transfer meetings or offers have been taken into consideration, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
In an interview with HT Spor following Galatasaray’s historic 26th Super Lig championship, Kavukcu revealed that Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta was shocked by the size of the financial commitment Galatasaray made to sign Osimhen permanently last summer.
Osimhen is with us right now. Neither a transfer nor an offer have been discussed at any of our discussions. We haven’t even given them a glance. Osimhen is, of course, being closely watched by everyone,” Kavukcu remarked.
