Amadou Gallo Fall, the President of Basketball Africa and Senior Vice President of the NBA, has forecast a golden age for African basketball, during which the continent will produce world-class players and shape the future of this lucrative sport.
During a visit to the Fifth Chukker/Access Bank Sport Academy in Kaduna, where school-age children are trained and mentored to become professional athletes, the ex-NBA star from Senegal revealed this information.
Gallo, who built and funded a basketball academy in Senegal where kids from less privileged background are taught and trained to become professional players, flew in from Dakar to inspire young trainees in a sister academy in Nigeria.
