Gareth Bale criticizes Vinicius and Mbappe, calling them “disappointing and frustrating.”

After Los Blancos’ Champions League loss to Liverpool at Anfield yesterday, former Real Madrid player Gareth Bale has blasted Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe.

Alexis Mac Allister’s goal in the second half caused Real Madrid to lose for the first time this season in the Europe’s elite competition.

Due to Vinicius and Mbappe’s inability to play a shot on goal, Real Madrid also missed the mark for the first time this season in the UEFA Champions League.

Bale, a former Real Madrid player, voiced dissatisfaction with the two forwards’ performances in an interview with CBS Sports.

“We didn’t witness Mbappe and Vinicius perform some magic and pull Madrid back into the match in the final third.

The lack of the kind of skill you would expect from Real Madrid players in the last third was a little disheartening.

It’s annoying; perhaps they make things more difficult.

Sometimes all they have to do is try to put the defender to the test.

On the field, they are obviously faster than everyone else.

However, since no one else is in the box waiting for the crosses, I believe that they might not do it. Perhaps they require that ninth focal point.
