Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, categorically rejected circulating speculation regarding a disagreement with his political mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, asserting that no entity or faction possesses the capacity to sow division between them.
Speaking at an assembly attended by senior officials of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Governor Yusuf affirmed that his association with Senator Kwankwaso remains robust and is fundamentally guided by mutual principles of public service and integrity. He characterized Senator Kwankwaso as a visionary and altruistic statesman committed to the advancement of the populace. The Governor elaborated by describing him as a “God-fearing and selfless leader” who diligently works for the progress and comprehensive development of Kano State and Nigeria.
Governor Yusuf subsequently reiterated his commitment to state development and administration, pledging adherence to the Kwankwasiyya philosophy which centers on service, accountability, and citizen empowerment.
In his complementary remarks, Senator Kwankwaso extended his appreciation to the NNPP National Chairman, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, party leaders representing over thirty states, and the loyal base of supporters for their sustained dedication. He concluded by appealing to all members of the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya Movement nationwide to preserve their unity and remain focused on achieving the continued success and growth of the party.
