Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, has denied that Nasir El-Rufai, his predecessor, claimed that he was one of his mentees.
In an interview with TVC on Sunday, Sani emphasized that President Bola Tinubu and the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi are his mentors, not El-Rufai.
The Kaduna governor was one of the numerous individuals El-Rufai mentored, according to BASEMEDIA, who recalled this during a recent appearance on Channels Television.
A mentee of mine is Uba Sani. I created a lot of them. Being able to elevate so many people is my greatest life accomplishment. I’ve inspired and guided a lot of people to achieve success. I’m quite proud of the fact that some people are even better than me. El-Rufai had stated.
Governor Sani responded, however, by stating that he would not be involved in personal conversations and that his attention would continue to be on providing for the people of Kaduna State.
“I believe I don’t have the time to respond to that comment, so I don’t think it is necessary for me to do so,” he stated.
Sani instead cited the late Fawehinmi and President Tinubu as the figures who influenced his political career.
“I’ve worked with a lot of people throughout my life. I still consider President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be my leader, even though I met him in 1994 at Beko Ransom Kuti’s home. Since I lived in Chief Gani Fawehinmi’s home during the time of struggle, he is a father figure and a leader to me,” the governor said.
